Low-income individuals (at or below 200% of the federal poverty level), with priority given to higher risk residents such as the elderly, disabled individuals, families with children and high energy users.
The PA Child Care Works Program works with low-income families to help them pay for daycare. Funding for this county-run program, available in all Pennsylvania counties, comes from government subsidies.
WIC serves the following Pennsylvania residents:
• Pregnant women
• Breastfeeding women, for up to one year postpartum
• Women up to six months postpartum, who are not breastfeeding
• Infants and children under 5 years old, including foster children
