Searching

You can search for content at any time.  From the homepage:

  1. Use the Search box on the homepage to enter search terms (the box with "Search the repository..." in it as default text).
  2. Click the Search button.
  3. You will then see a list of results.  If you need to refine your search, use the options under Filters and Settings.

Browsing Content

To browse content in the University Archive:

  1. Select a Community to start with.  For example, the School of Business and Information Technology.
  2. Select a Collection.
  3. A list of Recent Submissions to the selected Collection will appear. Above it, you can choose options to instead browse by Issue Date, Author, Title, and Subject.

Viewing Content

When copyright permits, the PG University Archive will host an open access version of the work for download, accessible by anyone.  Hosted copies may be pre-print, post-print, or publisher's versions, depending on what is permitted.  When full text is available, a copy will appear under Files when viewing an item.  Click the link to open it.

An open access copy is not always permitted to be hosted.  In these cases, or when required by the publisher, a link to the full text will be added as a second URI in the item's record.

Navigating the View Item page

The standard record on a View Item page in the PGUA consists of:

  • Title
  • Author(s)
  • URI (a persistent link back to the item record)
  • Date
  • Abstract

A "Full item page" link is also available to review the full metadata for the item.
