The Unit 1 assignment requires you to choose and research a company that interests you using Hoover’s Company Profile database below.
In the database, you can browse companies, or you can search for a specific one:
Business Source Ultimate is a scholarly business database, providing the leading collection of bibliographic and full-text content on marketing, management, accounting, finance, economics, and more. The Ultimate edition adds more active full text peer reviewed journals and leading business publications, Standard & Poor’s Industry Surveys, business videos, and ahead-of-print content. Content is included in EBSCO Discovery, but access directly to use the new Business Searching Interface that makes finding company profiles, SWOT analysis reports, case studies, and other information more intuitive.
When searching company information in Business Source Ultimate, click on Company Information at the top, then type in a company name to browse reports.
You can also use the regular search page in Business Source Ultimate to find company profiles, many of which are quite in-depth. The process requires adding "Company Profile" to your search:
If there is a profile available, you should see it in the results list. Most profiles are from a company called MarketLine, and alternatively, you can use MarketLine in the second box instead of the phrase Company Profile.
