About the 4 P's

You are asked in this course to find an article on the 4 P's.  If you are unfamiliar with the 4 P's, you can read over a quick definition of the 4 P's in Gale eBooks (link).  The 4 P's are:

  • Price
  • Product
  • Promotion
  • Place

When searching in PG Library databases or elsewhere online, you can search for terms about the 4 P's, including "marketing mix," which it is often referred to as:

  • "marketing mix" 
  • "4 Ps" marketing
  • "4 P's" marketing

Or, search for specific parts of the 4 P's to focus on one aspect.  Since it's the "4 P's of Marketing" it may be helpful to add the word marketing to your search for each element.

  • Pricing and Marketing
  • Product and Marketing
  • Promotion and Marketing
  • Place and Marketing

There are also tools to help you focus your search even more.  For example, the Advanced Search mode in EBSCO Discovery Service allows you to use Pricing or the other P's as a Title or Subject search.
